Over the years I’ve driven by the Salton Sea more times than I can count and I’ve explore dozens of trails in this region, but I’ve never taken the time to learn about the Salton Sea and understand what really happened here. So today, that’s my mission, uncover how this are went from once housing a large active naval base and having a booming resorts on its shorelines, to now a post apocalyptic landscape…..
