Performance Analysis is the perfect tool when trying to troubleshoot performance issues in large assemblies. The Analysis tool includes a set of predefined columns to help troubleshoot assembly performance. To access the analysis tool, simply go to Evaluate Assembly Visualization and select the Performance Analysis tab. You can also access this tool by going through Performance Evaluation and selecting Assembly Visualization.

The Performance Analysis tool organizes your title, quantity graphical triangles, open time, and rebuild time for each component in the assembly. Additionally, it color codes it to make it easier to see.

In this assembly, we notice one component that's taking nearly 2 minutes to rebuild. We can open this component to try to understand why it's taking so long to rebuild. Under the Evaluate tool, we can select performance evaluation. Notice that CirPattern1 takes nearly the entire time to rebuild. You can simply suppress this out of the equation. When jumping back to our top-level assembly, we notice that this is no longer a factor when rebuild times are concerned. In just a few clicks, we were able to cut back nearly two minutes of rebuild time. See if you can use the Assembly Analysis tool today to help improve the performance of your assemblies.
