The Gardening Training course for Transition Year students is divided into 2 elements. The classroom element focuses on the history, types and economics of gardening with a focus on food production. The fun hands on element seed collection and seed sowing, soil preparation and plant care. The next hands on element is to use a 'Soil test kit' to measure PH, texture and soil fertility.
