Billy Conn's first fight in over 4 years was a rematch with Joe Louis for the World Heavyweight Championship. It would also be the first World Heavyweight title fight broadcast on television. The first fight between these 2 men was a true war and one of the greatest fights in heavyweight history, there was a lot of anticipation and excitement surrounding the rematch... unfortunately it failed to live up to the hype. 4 years was a long wait between fights for Conn and Louis was not exactly in his prime...
