Ford is doubling down with electric vehicles. The 2022 F-150 Lightning goes on sale next year and we got a chance to check it out in depth and dive into the specs, features and details America's first full size electric pickup truck. We we get out on a test circuit and ask Ford some tough questions. Is the F-150 Lightning heir to the gas throne?

The Lightning has a ground-up redesigned chassis specifically made for 2 electric motors. It will be assembled in Ford's Rouge plant in Michigan. Both the batteries and motors will be built in house at 2 locations including a new battery plant in Georgia in a partnership with SK Innovation.
