Jason Hammel is the executive chef and co-owner of Lula Café, a Chicago community institution established in 1999, and a founder member of Pilot Light, an organization dedicated to bringing food education to classrooms across the United States. His first book, The Lula Cafe Cookbook, will be released by Phaidon Books this fall.
