Sitarkhani taal is shastriya taal . Many musicians see this taal as a prakar of Tintal.This taal is also known as Addha Taal and Punjabi taal.Sitarkhani taal is a taal (or rhythm cycle) used in North Indian classical music. It is a medium-tempo taal with a 16-beat cycle and is generally performed with a bol-baant (or phrase-response) structure. It is often used in light classical music.

कुछ लोग कहते हैं कि यह ताल पंजाबी के समान है । छोटेलाल मिश्रा जैसे अन्य लोगों का कहना है कि दोनों समान, लेकिन अलग-अलग ठेके वाले अलग-अलग ताल हैं। कुछ लोग सितारखानी अद्धा भी कहते हैं , जबकि दूसरों के लिए अद्धा का एक अलग ठेका होता है।
