This is a fake game trailer that I spent an unnecessary number of hours making, for a joke that has been going on for an unnecessary amount of time.

I made it for my girlfriend for Valentine's Day (cause her and I originally came up with the joke), and there is a community post that explains the joke more thoroughly.



The post is written as follows:



"Concept for a Gorillaz game:

Basically, you play as the new Gorillaz member (replacing Murdoc) and then he's all angry and he's like the main bad guy. And then the whole game is an open-world survival game set on Plastic Beach.

but it's ALSO a racing game.

and it's ALSO a rhythm game too. And like, the survival sections are keyboard and mouse only, the racing sections are controller only, and the rhythm sections are guitar hero guitar only. and you have to switch between the three, which is the challenge

Also, in the Gorillaz character customization, if you set your skin color to green, then that's extra hard mode, or "Murdoc Mode," and in that mode, everyone tries to kill you, cause they think YOU are Murdoc, so you have to use all three controller methods at the same time to defend yourself.

OH! And all of the rhythm songs aren't actually Gorillaz songs, they are Blur songs, from the new Blur album that will come out as a package deal with the game. And because Gorillaz fans are probably gonna be angry that there are no Gorillaz songs, the game will be 40+ to make sure that no Gorillaz fans play the game.

I whipped up this game box art in Final Cut Pro X.
