Cinemills TV walked the Golden State Tattoo Expo 2023 in Pasadena, California—an exceptional showcase of the world's greatest tattoo art. Presented by Inked Magazine and hosted by the acclaimed Nikko Hurtado and Carlos Torres, this premier event unfolded at the Pasadena Convention Center. We had the opportunity to meet distinguished guest tattoo artists and explore a dynamic array of music, contests, entertainment, and an impressive art gallery.
Pasadena Convention Center played host to the Golden State Tattoo Expo, where the world's top tattoo artists gathered on the West Coast. Every year, Pasadena becomes the epicenter of artistic creativity in the tattoo industry, with the best of the best pushing boundaries.
Nikko Hurtado, a tattoo celebrity featured on shows like LA Ink, Tattoo Wars, and Spike TV’s Ink Master, has an impressive client roster, including The Rock, Drake, Diddy, The Game, Wale, and Kat VonD. Carlos Torres, renowned for his black and gray realism and surrealism work, joined forces with Hurtado to bring special guests from around the world to the expo, including Pony Lawson, Sefano Alcantara, Michael Hussar, Jess Yen, Mumia, Tony Mancia, Andres Cardozo (Shugar Kong), and more. During the three-day event we got experience seminars from tattoo masters, live tattooing, and a vendor market featuring art, body jewelry, tools, fashion, and more. Each day brought thrilling tattoo competitions and award announcements, featuring categories such as best sleeve, best of the day, best coverup, and more.
