A 13-year-old girl forced to marry a 50-year-old man. What emotions do you get?
It was not easy to document this story, but it is important to know that in the world there are still cultures and traditions that carry on the custom of #matrimoniforzati.
Benin (West Africa) for example is one of the countries in the world with the highest rate of underage girls given in marriage to adult men.
I was invited to the stilt house of Merveille's family, which means "Wonder", a #minor girl who will be forced to marry a man older than her dad so that he can take care of her and help the family financially.
I have tried to be as objective as possible in bringing you what I have seen and heard in this new adventure and I hope this reportage can be the beginning for a new reflection on the theme of child brides in the world.
