So much has happened since my last update. In this video I walk through some of the external features of the Baddeley B2 build then take a deeper dive into some key aspects of the electronics build out that are different from my R2D2 build:
- The use of LiPo batteries and some best practices for charging and storing them (many thanks to DroneBotWorkshop for much of my education)
- A look at the Sabertooth 2x12 RC motor controllers and the modification necessary to use them in a Kyber-based system.
- The use of 24v power relays to avoid regeneration current between the drive motors and the motor controllers.
- My approach to installing the core electronics without making any permanent modifications to the stock B2 chassis.
Finally, I show off a little bit of his current capabilities.
