ADD: I FOUND WHAT WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. The screws that set flush in the sliders that the camper rises up and down on had slightly back out due to off roading and older wood. If you keep all the screws installed tight it will go up and down smoothly. If the screws are slightly loose shove a toothpick in the screw hole with the screw or mix some wood & epoxy to fill hole with and reuse.

Normally a quick 5 minute job occasionally nothing seems to go right and the Alaskan Camper can be a huge PITA. I thought I had my truck level but it was not and that caused all this.
