Welcome to the channel! Here is the first look at our 2022 ford f-150 lightning XLT with extended range battery. This option gives the new electric Ford Lightning F150 580hp and 775 lb-ft of torque. The new ford lightning was reserved on the day of the ford lightning official video release in 2021. Ordered in Jan 2022, and last but not least, the 2022 electric ford lightning f-150 arrived at our choice dealership on June 9th 2022.
I was out when we got the call, but managed to swing by the dealership (Taylor Ford Lincoln in Moncton, New Brunswick) and put something together on my way home. The fully electric ford f-150 lightning pick up truck is definitely something that I have been really looking forward to. I will be sharing the delivery experience and driving experience first impressions with you all next week, as the new lightning is in the showroom for now, this is the very first 2022 ford f150 lightning to land in the Maritimes, Canada. I was pretty disappointed to find that our truck did NOT have the LED lightbar across the tailgate as I had seen in nearly, if not every advertisement for the truck at the time of its release. During the f150 lightning order process at the time, there were some things you may not know. There was nothing stating that the tailgate lightbar would not be included with this vehicle. After production had started, and orders were already placed, there was information slowly starting to trickle out about different configurations that had been seen in person. NOW, you can clearly see on the ford website and order forms that the XLT does NOT include the signature tailgate lighting. I was aware of this with the Ford Lightning Pro, but not the F150 Lightning XLT This new electric f150 is outfitted with the ER or extended range battery option, tow technology package, max tow package, and the spray in bedliner option. I really do see this truck getting some upgrades in the near future, and really see what this truck is capable of, in all walks of life. There will definitely be some more Ford lightning range test content floating around on these very soon.
