Hey friends! This weekend I met up with the Legendary Bernie Hellstrom for an adventure of our own. Bernie had told me about some "sinkholes" that he had wanted to dive and asked if I would be interested in checking them out. When I thought of sinkholes, I certainly did NOT think of something like this....I had more of a swamp kind of place in mind.
At first glance (last weekend) I was blown away and absolutely had to come back to dive it this weekend.

Lost Lake is located in the Pigeon River State Forest area about 15 miles East of Vanderbilt, MI. The sinkhole we explored is just one of many in the area, and some are stocked with Brown Trout for fishing.
It was a very tough journey down to the water from the parking area with all of our equipment, but we persevered and were able to explore!
