This video shows how we changed our dry, dying, drought stricken lawn from brown to a pleasant green.

As the water restrictions here in California started, we decided to let our front lawn go so we shut off the sprinklers completely. It started looking terrible though. I heard about "painting" it with a spray. I researched it on the internet to see how to do it and what products were out there. I decided to give it a try with the Enviro Color product.
I mixed 8 oz of color with 1 gallon of water in a hand sprayer. I used a piece of cardboard to protect the white vinyl fence from getting sprayed.
The first part of the application looked quite good, but it was obvious that I was going to run out of the product. I started applying a lesser amount of color so that I could get the whole lawn covered, but not to the level that I desired.
I ordered a second quart of color to do a second coat to give a deeper, more uniform color to the whole lawn. "Your mileage will vary" I guess.
I have about 12 oz left over that I hope to use for touch-up.
This coloring is supposed to last up to 12 weeks. I'll try to remember to update this posting to let you know how long it actually lasts.
