This is the late-stage concept of the BMW XM, a new SUV that will sit at the very top of the BMW M lineup when it arrives in 2023. Packing a plug-in hybrid petrol V8 engine, the XM will make 550kW of power - or 750hp - and 1000Nm of torque! It can drive for 80km on electric power alone but the point of the XM’s PHEV system is to make BIG power, instantaneously.

Also big is the BMW XM’s kidney grille - the biggest one yet, building on the theme of the new BMW M3 and M4 and totally pushing the boundaries.

Built in America, the BMW XM will compete with vehicles like the Audi RSQ8 and Mercedes-AMG GLE63 S Coupe when it arrives on the market.
