Nearly £2 million has been awarded to 142 projects across the Scottish Borders since the Fallago Environment Fund started in 2013.

Whether that's through local jobs, investment in the local supply chain, or dedicated community benefit funds, local communities can reap the benefits of renewable energy developments.

Grants in 2023 to those in the area included the Border Ice Rink to secure its future through new ice making equipment to make it more energy efficient. In this short video, the team at the ice rink talk through the benefits this has brought and the positive impact on the local community.
