This modern love story began with an Instagram DM — Scott, who had big dreams of playing in the NHL, had recently received shoulder surgery when he stumbled across a photo of Brittany on Instagram. What started as a simple “Hey!” quickly turned into weeks of back-and-forth texting and endless FaceTime calls. Eventually, Scott decided to fly to Canada to take Brittany out on what would be their very first date.

Needless to say, the date went very, very well — so well, in fact, that the waiter at the restaurant thought that they were celebrating an anniversary. Scott returned home knowing that someday, he would marry Brittany.

Shortly thereafter, Scott made his debut in the NHL. The pair would spend the next several years travelling all across the US for hockey, which only solidified Scott’s belief that Brittany was the one he wanted by his side through all of life’s best and worst moments.

To Britt and Scott: thank you SO much for allowing us to tell your beautiful love story. We wish you the very best as you begin this next chapter together 🤍
