Mount Omuro! Shirahama Beach! Kawazu Spiral Loop Bridge!

This was recorded pre-Covid in 2019.

We spend today in and around Japan's Izu Peninsula. The Izu Peninsula juts into the ocean around 60 miles (100 km) west of Tokyo and is home to a spectacular, rugged coastline.

We drive from Ito Marine Town Michi no Eki to Mount Omuro, a dormant volcano! From there we drive to fabulous Shirahama (literally, white beach) Beach under sunny blue skies. Heading back to Yokohama, we unexpectedly encounter the spiral loop bridge at Kawazu Nanadaru Seven Falls and perform our own Hot Wheels (1970's toy reference) around the triple-stacked loop bridge!

Safely arriving in Yokohama, the next morning we have to return our rented camper van to Tokyo, which goes smoothly. After catching the train back to Yokohama, we have plenty of time to visit the Nissan Museum in Yokohama in the afternoon.

This is the last episode of our four-part mini-series where we spend 3 days in a camper van, in Japan!
