California condor 1221 is not only a loveable little fluff ball, but an inspiration fighting against the odds for her species. Her mother succumbed to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) at the height of it's crisis facing the condor flock in Arizona and Utah that our team monitors. Our team recovered her egg from their nest, and she was assisted in hatching by Liberty Wildlife in AZ. Currently she is being raised by foster parent condors at our California condor propagation facility at our headquarters in Boise, ID. This adorable, fun-loving, miracle condor is a testament to their resiliency, as well as their fascinating personalities!
