"For decades, gorillas enjoyed a fearsome reputation—culminating in the movie King Kong that solidified the myth of a fierce monster-ape living in the jungle. Unfortunately this fearsome image, has not protected them from the impact of poachers and zoos who over the decades sought gorillas for their collections.

Today, sadly, mountain gorilla populations have been reduced to just 880 across central Africa. But across Rwanda, the Congo and Uganda, the “Gorilla Doctors” are making a real difference. Exploring the steamy terrain of Uganda’s Bwindi “Impenetrable” Forest, Niall travels alongside the “Gorilla Doctors” team to treat sick and injured mountain gorillas."
