In this video, we are going to Puffing Billy Railway to ride an iconic century-old stream train ride, in the magnificent Dandenong Ranges 40 kms east of Melbourne. We took a break for a week doing the usual food reviews and since it was a sunny day, we decided to cover one of our most favourite outdoor activities in Melbourne.

This iconic steam train ride attracts many people around the world, especially before covid. It is very popular among international tourists who visit Melbourne. The train usually jammed pack with visitors and they tried to fit as many people as they can with 100% capacity. However, since the pandemic, only 15 people are allowed in each carriage.

We have done the ride a couple of times in the past and every time we did it, it was a very memorable and enjoyable experience. Sadly there was one thing missing from the current experience as they no longer allow the leg dangling on the side of the train. It was something that everyone loves and enjoys, it makes the experience super memorable.
