In the Lerner College’s Basics of Business class, University of Delaware freshmen not only get an introduction to key business concepts, but they also get a chance to work directly with local businesses. Students are matched with a local organization and tasked with understanding the company and presenting recommendations for how to effectively approach a problem or research questions. More than 700 students take the course each year, with over 40 companies participating in the program during the fall of 2023.
