Description:
How Hand Sanitizer and Soap Work?
Hand Sanitizer (Alcohol based):
The main ingredients of alcohol based hand sanitizer are:
-Alcohol (60-80%)
-Water
-Chlorhexidine digluconate
-Glycerol
-Hydrogen Peroxide
Soap:
Soap is made two side molecules
- Hydrophobic molecules.
- Hydrophilic molecules.
Soap and Hand Sanitizer, both of them kill the virus by the principle of-
"Like dissolve Like"
that means,
Polar molecules dissolve in polar substance.
Non-polar molecules dissolve in non-polar substance.
So,
Hydrophilic substance always dissolve in water and Hydrophobic substance always dissolve in organic substances such as oil, protein and fat.
