Adventures and misadventures, mischief and magic fill Balanchine's A Midsummer Night's Dream, the first ballet of the 2021 Digital Season. In Shakespeare’s enchanted forest of whimsy, mistaken identity, and jest, fairies rule and love (eventually) reigns supreme. Set to Felix Mendelssohn's shimmering score, this production was filmed at an empty War Memorial Opera House in March 2020, just before shelter in place orders went into affect.
