In this video we install the Nest Hello wired doorbell (without an existing chime) - it's designed to replace an existing hardwired doorbell, so if you don't already have cabling and an appropriate transformer then you'll need to buy the correct indoor power adapter for Nest Hello and run some cable. If you want to install the Nest Hello on a UPVC doorframe then watch how I ran the cabling inside the frame itself so that all the wires are hidden from view for a nice neat finish.

A Nest Hello without chime connector will send alerts to all your household members' smartphones and smartwatches, as well as announcing "Someone's at front door" on all your Google Home smart speakers, so no chime is required (unless you want to install one of those too).
