This is the eleventh session of an eighteen-lesson course for absolute beginners wishing to learn Arabic. In this lesson, you will be introduced to the sukoon symbol that indicates when an Arabic letter carries no vowel, working from page 55 of the book. A brief overview of the hamza (glottal stop) is also given, though this will be covered in more detail in lesson thirteen. In addition, you will learn to ask questions beginning with the interrogatives ‘man’ (who?) and ‘hal’ (is/are/does/ do…?), together with the singular personal pronouns (I, you masculine, you feminine, he, she) and the demonstrative pronoun ‘this’ in its masculine and feminine singular forms (haadhaa, haadhihi).
