The reason that we celebrate Pride in June is because of the Stonewall Uprising that took place in NYC in June of 1969. A lot of LGBTQ+ history has taken place in New York City. This presentation will instead look at the LGBTQ+ history of other places across the State, including in Lake George and Albany. We’ll also look at how they connect to American history more broadly.

Speaker: Dr. Megan Springate, PhD

This talk was originally presented on ZOOM on Wednesday, June 14 as part of our ongoing series, Conversations with the Past.
