The best-selling Toyota RAV4 got a big update last year, and it now hopes to claim victory over the Honda CR-V, which won my comparison test in 2018. To re-evaluate, I gathered the 2020 Toyota RAV4 XLE Premium, the 2019 Honda CR-V EX-L and the 2020 Nissan Rogue SL to see which of these updated five-passenger small SUVs is the best. I'm evaluating the vehicles on a scale from one to ten in seven different categories, for a maximum score of 70 points per vehicle at the end of the video.
Here are the seven categories:
1. Value (Price and features of each vehicle)
2. Safety (Both active safety features and passive IIHS results)
3. Power-train and performance (Engine, transmission, 0-60 time)
4. Fuel Economy (EPA rated fuel efficiency)
5. Reliability (Rated by Consumer Reports)
6. Styling (How each SUV looks, from my point of view)
7. Functionality (How well the SUV performs intended function)
