Thanksgiving Day Parade is an annual parade in New York City presented by the department store chain Macy's. The Parade is the second-oldest Thanksgiving parade in the United States. It first took place in 1924 and continued till this year. However, the Parade was canceled three years in a row during World War II.
Lining for getting an excellent place to watch the Parade usually starts around 6 AM or even earlier. Early comers typically bring their own chairs and blankets to make the waiting easier, but it is not easy to find a good spot. However, if you live in NYC or plan to visit NYC on thanksgiving day, I highly recommend going and watching in person. It is lots of fun.
Today, we will watch the Parade from E 56th St!
