As a stage 4 metastatic melanoma patient, I should be stoked just to be in remission. And I am - I'm coming up on almost 6 months out, which is huge. Every milestone (if I make it to them) will bear more and more significance, and hopefully I'll get my life to a place where I feel in control of it as that happens.

Right now, though, remission remains weird. My physical energy is inconsistent. My mental health is doing fine, but it certainly has its pockets of uncertainty. I make these cancer vlogs so that I can share the experience of being a cancer patient and hopefully help some people along the way, and this might be one of the most illuminating ways to do so. This is not a pre-planned topic, and there aren't many finite touchpoints in it; this is just how I felt on a trip down to see my family in San Diego.
