Torque arms
These can be a life saver for you and your e-bike. The purpose of these is to reinforce the axle to the frame of the bike. The amount of torque these motors produce can eventually strip the drop outs of the frame making the wheel come off while riding possibly resulting in injury and/or death.

The best kind of torque arms are the ones that can be bolted/screwed in to your frame. Check your frame as you might already have mounting holes on where you can install torque arms.

I had to improvise and use two kinds of torque arms. Some might be able to get away with just one, but I like redundancy to be better safe than sorry. On one side I was able to attach a custom one using the brake mounts on the frame. The other side had to join two torque arms together and then attach them to the existing screw mounts on my frame (they were for a courier carriage/basket that I removed).

The size of the screw mounts and the screws themselves vary, so you will need to measure properly and buy longer/shorter screws with correct diameters and possible spacers/washers (sold at hardware stores).

I feel safer on the road now knowing that these are installed.
