Childhood memories of eagerly awaiting desserts after dinner inspired a unique and charming collection, says Chris Campbell, designer of Shoe Bakery. Campbell takes the viewer through his creative journey, which involves selecting materials that evoke the tactile joy of childhood favorites like ice cream sandwiches – merely one example of fashion and sweets nostalgia. Campbell is one of the speakers in an interview series that accompanies the “Food & Fashion” exhibition at The Museum at FIT (September 13 - November 26, 2023).
