Glimpses of BBC TopGear India Magazine Awards 2023
Celebrating the best of the Indian automotive industry was the main flavour of yesternight as we commemorated our 3rd anniversary with the 3rd edition of our coveted TopGear Awards. The night was even more magical as many top guns of the Indian automotive industry graced us with their humble presence. Adding the spice to the night was Dulquer Salmaan, a superstar but first, a true-blood petrolhead so it only made sense to hand over a token of love and respect to him by awarding ‘Petrolhead Actor of the year’.
For its stellar contribution to the industry last year, Mahindra and Mahindra received the ‘Automotive company of the year award.
After almost all the winners were announced, it was now time to reveal the top honours: Car of the Year and Bike of the Year. The prestigious ‘Car of the Year award was bagged by Hyundai Tucson and
The ‘Motorcycle of the Year award was given to Royal Enfield’s latest offering, the Super Meteor 650. To receive the prize, the stage was reserved for Rajat Gandhi – Global Brand Lead – Hunter 350.
We also believe in celebrating the humans behind revolutionizing the industry and in a similar wake, the ‘Automobile Person of the Year award was given to Santosh Iyer, MD and CEO, of Mercedes-Benz India.
