This summer, we asked young filmmakers around Europe if they had what it takes to make a 60-second film. Noah Ragert rose to the challenge and produced The Final Countdown, and won the 2023 Nikon Short Film Award!

Together with Bahar Pars and Sara Shirpey, Jury President Daniel Espinosa presented Ragert his award at Skandia on November 15th 2023 and screened the short film on the silver screen. His prize consisted of an exclusive Nikon camera kit and a specially designed glass sculpture by Markus Åkesson via Kosta Boda.

Together with Nikon, Stockholm International Film Festival established the Nikon Short Film Award 2022 to encourage and challenge creators from all over Europe to downsize the short film format and make the best short film. See you next year!
