This is Part 1 of a 2-part video series. We're showing you the set-up of this garage floor removed and replaced with new concrete.
The original concrete floor was cracked and broken in areas so the owners wanted a new floor.
We had them call an excavation company that does demos and removal of concrete floors to prep the area for us.
This company jack-hammered out the cracked concrete, used a skid steer to remove it from the garage, and hauled it off to a dumping area.
They removed any bad soil and replaced it with gravel, compacted and graded the gravel, and made sure the center drain was working.
At this stage, we come in and do the set-up for the concrete floor.
This is what you'll see in the video, the poly vapor barrier, rebar mat, form boards, and more.
