Miłosz Garbarczuk, Plant Director at Hager Group, explains how they managed to achieve the record-breaking success of building a 1000-people factory in 11 months. He gives credit to the substantial effort in the preparation phase as well as the deployed methodology: Critical Chain Project Management.

In order to reach such speed - finishing the project in 11 months - the teams spent 10 months in activity planning and contractualising with external actors. In addition, communication was key to ensure a seamless collaboration among this large number of stakeholders: dedicated on-site daily and weekly routines were set up for this purpose. This enabled rapid conflict identification and resolution.

The project was then awarded the first place at the Polish project excellence contest in the infrastructure category. The next steps now are to deploy the Critical Chain methodology to all the other projects within Hager Group to achieve the best On-Time Delivery Performance.
