This video demonstrates how to create a sheet metal drawing template with notes that are linked to the cut-list property that populates almost automatically when you use the template. In this example, I've got a sheet metal part, and I haven't created any special custom properties for it. I have assigned a material, so I'm going to create a drawing from this. To do that I'll use the A_size template. I want a flat pattern view because I need a flat pattern view to be able to access the properties that I need. I'm going to right-click on this view and from the annotations flyout. Now I want to edit that text in its window so I can see the code. I'm going to copy all of this to the clipboard. Now I'm going to create a new note that is not attached to that view.
Check out this video to see the steps to take in detail.
