In todays video we are going to be discussing TIG welding tungsten grind profiles and talk about how different grind angles effect penetration in different ways.

25 degrees vs 45 vs 75 degrees angles all change the arc cones characteristics as well as how deep they penetrate at the same amperage. Spacing the Arc length the same for each different ground electrode and maintaining the same amperage you can really see a big difference in the arc cone characteristics.

Honestly I highly prefer sharper Tungsten Electrode profiles over blunt tungsten profiles on steel. Aluminum is a bit of a different story, If you are curious about how I prep tungsten on aluminum shoot me DM on here or instagram @Hour.glass_ingenuity
