The studio behind Eddie Brock’s new movie is in an interesting position. All eyes are on the new sequel as it looks to build upon the shared universe established in by the first movie and position it as a rival to what’s happening with the Avengers. But… are they really rivals? Thanks to the complicated deal rights, are we leading to an eventual full blown crossover between the two sides? While Disney is owning the market right now, Sony is trying to compete with their successful franchise focusing on Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and his Symbiote anti-hero self. The sequel featuring the red symbiote also features Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady, the scariest Symbiote of all time. While the sequel will mostly focus on this conflict, the story will likely set up the rise of Knull and the arrival of more Symbiotes. What it will also likely set up is the INEVITABLE crossover between Eddie Brock and everyone’s favorite wall-crawler, Peter Parker!

Yes, Tom Holland’s famous Marvel character will almost definitely be meeting Brock in the near future. Now, the only problem with this is that I don’t think Pete has any chance against such a brutal adversary. Their meeting could be the end of the road for the webhead.
