The ID.4 is finally here and its been inspired by ID.Crozz concept vehicle. The company claims that ID.4 range will stretch till 260 miles between charges and combined with its appealing SUV shape and styling should make it a desirable EV to own. The ID is a new Volkswagen sub-brand specifically for EV cars.

The ID.4 will be available in three trims – base, Pro and 1st Edition. Base trim starts about $35,000 and it will be available in 2022. In the meantime, Pro and 1st Edition are available starting 2021. The 1st Edition represents good value as it includes both Statement and Gradient packages as standard which normally costs $4500 and $1500 respectively. These packages include 12.0-inch touchscreen, panoramic sunroof, a power-operated rear liftgate, 20-inch wheels and other cool features.

ID.4 have single motor rear-wheel drive with 201hp and the dual motor four-wheel drive with 302hp. Towing capacity will stretch till 2700 pounds. Regenerative braking is included as well. The acceleration won’t be gut-punching, but will be enough for daily commute and family road trips. It will launch to 60mph in 7,6 seconds, which is fair for the SUV class, although not the fastest among similar EVs.
