The latest Xperia phone seems pitched at a particular kind of smartphone shopper, one that's obsessed with fine camera controls. At $1,300, the Xperia 1 III is also an expensive phone. But if you like the potential of unrivaled smartphone camera control - or just love the aesthetic of Sony’s hardware- there’s a lot to like here.

Update: Sony revealed another imaging-focused phone, the Xperia Pro-1 just as we wrapped up our review. That's why you won't hear mention of it in the video.
