During half a century of toy collecting, Tim has picked up some pretty amazing candles.

First up, a self propelling candle from Sweden - the heat from the candle causes the whole candleholder to revolve! Hygge anyone?

Candle fruit next, or is it fruit candles? One looks like an apple, and a half peeled banana. One of your five a day maybe?

Then some tea lights which have pictures on them. Tim bought these from a Swedish woman who had a stall at Camden Market in London. The pictures use a special paint which does not melt or dissolve in the hot wax. So the candle burns away, until all the was has gone, but the picture remains - resting on the bottom of the tea light!

A German light bulb. Very realistic, but actually it is a candle. It came from a shop called Donkey, based in Hamburg. (https://donkey-products.com/)

A birthday cake that is actually a candle. Tim has heard about candles that you can actually eat, which would complete the circle.

A special candle sharpener, rather like a large pencil sharpener. Everyone should have one!

Finally a toy from the USA. It looks like a candle, and you can out it on a birthday cake. Light the wick at the top, and you get a nice flame. But this is not a normal candle. After a short while the candle suddenly opens and out pops a message - Happy Birthday! What fun.
