I decided to do a Jeep JK Engine Swap and build for a couple reasons. One, I wanted a Jeep I could work on that was not a daily driver or one that my wife would be mad at me if I messed up. Two, I want to be able to have a Jeep that is lighter than my Gladiator to pull behind my RV. And three, I needed something my daughter could drive when she gets her license.

So I started looking for a two-door JK to build up, I figured I would find one for a decent price and I did. I found a JK with a blown engine up in Utah that I was able to pick up for 6 grand. I figured with the lift, the tires and rims, bumpers and accessories it was worth putting some work into, and with that, I started the JK build.

I knew the Jeep JK engine swap would be a challenge and I really wanted to take that on. I had watched a lot of videos about Jeep JK engine swaps and figured there was a lot of info on how to do it so why not give it a go.
