The all-new 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid compact pickup truck is built on a new unibody platform. It’s the first pickup from Ford to use this type of setup, though competitors like the Hyundai Santa Cruz and larger Honda Ridgeline use a similar configuration. Compared to Hyundai’s Santa Cruz, the Maverick has more features that’ll be appreciated by traditional truck buyers. But the cool thing about Maverick is that it’s really a vehicle that could replace most entry-level cars and crossovers. In fact, this new compact truck could be the vehicle Ford Ranger fans have been clamoring for.
