Well, again, you have a wide range of options, and we've put together what we believe to be three of the best. The thing is, each of our contenders takes a VERY different approach to how it delivers on fun...
The contenders:
Alpine A110S: the lightweight sports car option, with its two seats, rear-wheel drive and mid-mounted turbocharged petrol engine belting out 300 horsepower.
Audi RS3: The hot hatch option, with its 400 horsepower five-cylinder turbo engine, four-wheel drive, a prestige badge and family-friendly practicality.
Ford Mustang Mach 1: The muscle car option, with a thumping 460 horsepower from its 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8, plus iconic looks and an incredible soundtrack.
