This video will fix MacBook Finder not searching files and folders even though those files are available on your Mac. If your Mac Finder is not showing search results for any files stored on it, then this Macbook Finder tutorial will help you fix the broken Finder search forever. This is called indexing error on MacOS and you can easily fix indexing issues on any Mac with the help of Siri and Spotlight indexing.

I have guided you about MacOS finder and spotlight indexing with two methods to fix broken Finder searches.

1) The first method described how to fix MacBook broken finder searches by indexing Mac from Siri and Spotlight search so that it will reindex tge ststem and start searching files and data stored on your Mac.

2) The second method is brought to you with the unique scripting method in the Automator App on macOS. In the Automator App on your MacOS, you can index your Finder searches with the help of "Run Shell Script" or "Apple Script" methods. This method will index your Mac and you will be able to locate all your files with the help of Mac Finder search.

#RunShellScript methods
1) Use the following script in Automator Run Shell Script if you have no external Hard Drive connected to your MacBook

echo "Your_Password" | sudo -S mdutil -i on /

(remove your password with the password of your MacBook. This script can be used in case you have only an internal Macintosh HDD )

2) Use the following script if you have your internal Macintosh and and external HDD or USB connected to your MacBook

echo "Your_Password" | sudo -S mdutil -i on /
echo "Your_Password" | sudo -S mdutil -i on /Volumes/HDD

(The first line of the script is for your internal Macintosh HDD and the second line can be used for any external device connected to your MacBook or a particular folder or online drive. Remember to remove "your-password with your Mac password such as 112233 in my case)
