Some vulnerable teenagers are "at risk every day of the week", Anne Longfield told BBC Newsnight.

It comes after over a year of reporting on the conditions of homes where councils are putting teenagers in care. We’ve uncovered an unregulated and expanding part of the care sector and highlighted the dangers for the more than 12,000 children who have spent time in what’s called supported accommodation.

7 months ago, under pressure from charities, politicians and the police, the Government told local authorities it shouldn't place children under 16 into these homes.  Now Children’s Commissioner for England has gone further - calling for all those under 18 to be banned from in care in unregulated homes.
