TravelingMel got to go on a two and a half hour dog sledding/mushing adventure with Yellowstone Dog Sled Adventures (and took us along) thanks to Big Hammy. We were too busy having fun to take too much footage but H put this quick little vid together to give a sense of the glee and giggles we had. Jason and his guides at Yellowstone Dog Sled Adventures (https://www.yellowstonedogsledadventu...) did a great job of answering our questions, keeping us warm, and showing us a great time. We opted for the 2.5 hour "LEARN TO MUSH DOG SLED ADVENTURE" which meant we got to "drive" the sleds. One person mushed while the other rode under a blanket. We went fast! And the dogs had as much fun as we did. If you are looking to go dog sledding in Montana near Big Sky or West Yellowstone, this is a great option.
They had a warming tent with cocoa and cookies as well as campfire going. We also borrowed some thicker mittens. If you are wondering what to wear for dog sledding in montana, think warm. Especially boots and gloves.
