Frodo is an example of Radical Acceptance in The Fellowship of the Ring as he comes to accept the difficult task ahead of him and his role in it. This principle of Radical Acceptance can empower you to tackle these tough times we're all facing.

As Frodo begins to realize the difficulty and weight of the task ahead of him, he laments, "I wish none of this had happened."
And Gandalf replies, "So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

Frodo then accepts this quest because he knows it's what needs to be done.

Licensed therapist Jonathan Decker explains Frodo’s journey from fear to Radical Acceptance and how it can help each of us face hard times during the Coronavirus pandemic.
